Our mission

The mission of the HFC Foundation is to raise charitable support for Henry Ford College by building long-term relationships with business, civic and community leaders; alumni; corporate and philanthropic foundations; and individuals of influence and affluence, in support of the goals and objectives of the College and the educational and career aspirations of HFC students.

About HFC Foundation

The Henry Ford College Foundation (HFCF) was established in 1982 as a tax-exempt organization for the express purpose of raising funds in support of the College’s mission to provide access to affordable high-quality educational opportunities for all. The Foundation is led by a voluntary board of directors, comprised of area business, labor and community leaders who share a passion for higher education and life-long learning. Through its efforts, the Foundation also promotes awareness and spirited appreciation for HFC throughout the community.

The Foundation, positioned within the College's Office of Institutional Advancement, serves as the gateway for all philanthropic activities for the Foundation and College. Under the guidance of the Foundation's Board of Directors, and with the day-to-day direction of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Foundation initiates fund raising activities in the areas of grants, major and planned gifts, annual giving, special events, as well as gift acceptance and donor acknowledgment.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
