Six HFC students won the Barrett Creative Writing Contest and read excerpts of their work at the awards ceremony.

The strong sense of community attracted Clay to HFC, and she learned a lot from mentors here. She wants to pay it forward by helping other students as she transfers to U-M.

Raised in foster care, Kimberly Bertges beat the odds and completed a college education, breaking generational patterns of struggle.

Dr. Mary Beth Bolton studied nursing at HFC, then later became a physician. She was in the medical field for 47 years until she retired in 2018.

The HFC Music department is putting on three concerts this spring. Join us April 19, 22, and May 4. Admission is free.

HFC brings to life the holiday classic, “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” on WHFR-FM on Dec. 19 and during its WHFR Winter Season Celebration Dec. 24-26.
